Can I use the ads components in a self-hosted Premium version of JWPlayer?

I want to simply run custom pre-rolls, and the best option is the ads system since it forces the user to view it before the video. There's nothing I've read that indicates whether the self-hosted verison of the player supports ads. Can you confirm? Also, you seem to use different code examples in various places on your documentation. Where can I find current version examples of both VAST sample files as well as the JavaScript object for the advertising section of the options?

Ads will work with a self-hosted player, but you would need to upgrade to an Ads license in order to add the ad tags.

You can see the Javascript syntax for the advertising block at http://support.jwplayer.com/customer/portal/articles/1431665-basic-preroll-video-ads. There is also an Advertising section in our API reference document at http://support.jwplayer.com/customer/portal/articles/1413089-javascript-api-reference#advertising

We have a sample VAST tag at http://support.jwplayer.com/customer/portal/articles/1482127-static-vast-xml-tag
but you can also refer to the IAB VAST standard at http://www.iab.net/vast
