Getposition wrong after seek and pause in recent chrome

I have a problem with chrome that started sometime in the last few months, probably from a chrome update. When playing a video from the beginning the getposition() call is correct as it plays. Then I do a seek and a pause. Then getposition keeps returning the old position from before the seek. The video responds to the seek and pause correctly as it did before the problem.

I'm on chrome 36.0.1985.125 beta-m. I downloaded the current jwplayer yesterday. I'm on windows 8.0.
