Uploading Video causes parts of it to pixelate

We have a video that has no pixelation when we run locally but after uploading, upon transitions within the video, it pixelates. We've uploaded other videos, from the same source, same type w/ no problems. Any ideas?

Do you happen to have an example that we can look at?

Hi Andrew, I just looked at our most recently uploaded video and also see some artifacts at the beginning that are not in the master file as far as I know:

Hi,

I’m currently not seeing any artifacts at the beginning of this video. Which platform is this happening on? (Windows, OSX) Also, which version of Flash is installed?

If you can create a screenshot of the moment when you’re seeing this, this would also be very helpful. Likewise, if you would like to communicate via email (privately), we can be reached via your dashboard. :)

Hi Andrew, here is a screen grab. The artifacts are most noticeable in the road (I didn't capture them at the worst point but you should see them):

I'm on OS X using flash 14,0,0,145 but I can check our PC system as well.
I wonder if this is new streaming/quality issue or a transcode issue? I downloaded the 320px .h264 (required) transcode from the video properties tab and it is full of artifacts (played back with quicktime or MPEG Streamclip players), especially at the beginning (a fade in from black which I know can have issues), but it seems excessive. The next best transcode (a 640px template) does not look very good either...
So I checked out a video that uploaded a few weeks earlier, and that transcode looks much better:

I know there can be a lot of reasons for this, but since the original poster and myself noticed this about the same time, it does seem like something new is going on.

I am going to just reupload the video master file and see if a new transcode update fixes it. I'll report back.

Sounds good. I am curious of you’d be able to provide the source video file for us to look at. If so, please feel free to email us and we’ll be happy to take a look. :)

Hi Andrew, I re-uploaded the source video and did not remove it. I don't know if that allows you access or not. I used ProRes 422 for this upload so it is a large file. Mostly I am see the artifacts at the start of the video, as if the stream is attempting to optimize or buffer.
I uploaded a new video today, and it starts out just fine, but there is a lot of guassian blur added to that title...

So maybe it is just that the clip with the problem was to sharp and bright?

That is indeed possible. Additionally, I am only able to see these artifacts within Chrome’s pepper flash. Using Firefox and its fully-fledged flash seems to avoid this issue. Can you confirm this on your end as well?
