Streaming on Port 80 and 443

Hi Ethan,

I have a streaming issue that is rather problematic and urgent. My company has created instructional teaching videos for a national event here in Australia involving over 1500 schools and half a million students. We are using JWPlayer to stream these videos into schools.
It appears though that many schools are unable to access the videos on their school computers. Most schools use proxy authenticated internet access and most on port 80.
It would be EXTREMELY helpful if you could help me to understand why our JWPlayer is not working in their classrooms as many wish to access them but can't.
I have included an email below from one of the State IT Dept. guys to help with an answer.

Regards,

Andrew

> Websites using secure HTTP (HTTPS) can only connect using port 443. all connections using not using port 443 for HTTPS connections will fail.

http://www.jozzbeatinteractive.com/jb-online-lets-play-vids/mcui2014-body-percussion-sounds

is a link as an example. The schools are receiving an error such as "Error loading stream. Could not connect to server"

Thanks!

Platform accounts use RTMP delivery by default. However, a lot of firewalls block this type of traffic.

I changed your account delivery method to use HLS instead of RTMP. Now, the schools should be able to access the videos without issue.
