Close Caption button doesn't work in Safari!?

I am testing some videos that I just added closed captions to and noticed that the CC button in the controller isn't working in Safari on the Mac or PC. It works fine in Firefox and Chrome on the Mac, and IE, Firefox, Chrome on Windows, but not in Safari on either platform. I'm running Version 6.1.4 (8537.76.4) on OS X 10.8.5, and Safari 5.1.7 on Windows. When I place the mouse over the CC button and click, nothing happens.

It doesn't seem to be unique to my pages either because the example on this site also isn't working: http://support.jwplayer.com/customer/portal/articles/1407438-adding-closed-captions. I tested this page on my personal Mac from home and it isn't working there either, so it doesn't seem to be related to a corporate firewall.

Hm, I see the issue at least on my PC. I will have others check on Mac.

Thanks. I'm not sure if it is related to your solution or not, but I found that part of the problem was in the .srt files that were generated by Camtasia. When there were blank time spans in the .srt file, the captions didn't show up or showed sporadically. When I removed the blank spans, it seemed to work okay. This was only an issue on the Mac.
