JW6 does not show video duration and can't skip forward

Hello,
We are using JW5 for a few years now (licensed version) to play mp4 videos from our Wowza Streaming Engine server. Recently we tried to move to JW6, but found that some of the videos does not show the video duration, and forward skipping does not work. A comparison of the exact same video with both player (each within its own iframe) is here: http://www.kolhalashon.com/tests/jwcompare.aspx

Thanks,
Eyal.

Just to make things correct - we also have this problem with our mp3 audios, and the above link is to a mp3 file, not mp4 video.

Are you using any sort of load balancing?

No, no load balacing. Simple one server setup.

Are there any specific settings you can share about the setup?

Nothing special I can think of. We had this problem with version 3 of Wowza server, and recently upgraded to version 4, but the problem persists - so it does not seem to be server side problem.

Have you checked now the videos are encoded?

How are you encoding your videos?

We are using various methods. For example, the video in the demo above was encoded using Sony Vegas.

Can you try to do a test encode using HandBrake? – http://handbrake.fr/

I found the cause of the problem!!! It's nothing with the encoding, but it seems that every file that has Hebrew characters in its name has this problem. I simply renamed the file, and it started working with V6. However, I can not rename my production files, and many have Hebrew characters.

Ah, that is very odd indeed. I would have never guessed that.

Can you investigate into that? That is preventing us from upgrading to V6/
