Safari Not Working...

Videos in Safari is not working on the Mac in an intranet environment because of protected directories. When I try to launch a video I get a pop-up that says, " To view this movie, you need to login to area nnn.nnnn.com."

Will using the unbranded player solve this problem? If so, where can I get a link to download it? I am a pro user and have purchased a license.

There is only one version of the software. Providing your JW license key in the page code unlocks the premium features.

JW Player requires Internet access to work. It really can't be used in an intranet that has no connection to the outside world.

But that doesn't explain the error message you're getting. There's nothing in the JW Player software that expects a user to log in to a protected area. This sounds more like a problem with your setup. Pull up the network console, and see what file(s) it's trying to access, and what access is being denied.

I assume this is an issue with your network security then. Without seeing some kind of public link, I will not be able to troubleshoot.
