Selectable quality on iPhone?

On your page "Browser & Device Reference" you say: "On iPhone only, video is only played in fullscreen mode. On iPad and Android, video can be played either windowed or in fullscreen." This matches what I observe.

When I have multiple quality versions of a video, I need to allow users to choose which version to watch. On the iPad, the HD menu is displayed correctly (in windowed mode—in fullscreen mode, it is not displayed). On the iPhone, which is always in fullscreen mode, the HD menu is never displayed (as best I can tell).

How can I provide an HD menu on the iPhone?

Thanks,
David Haimson

Hi,

Currently we fall back the iOS’s default video handling for iOS. For iPhone, this is currently forced into fullscreen mode. When in fullscreen, we do not have control over the playbar elements that are displayed.

@Andrew:
Thanks for the info. I guess I'll have to show an external control for it.
