VAST Capping and Cookie bug in JW 6.x?

Dear Longtailvideio support team,

we currently use JW player V6.8.4616 Ads Edition on our website www.sachsen-fernsehen.de

Our VAST Adserver provider reported us a known bug with the JW player version that he cannot deliver VideoAds in FlashMode due to the fact that he cannot guarantee an Ad impression capping to his customers because the JW player 6 would playback the VideoAd every time a visitor reloads the page and would ignore Cookies with capping information. This issue should even exist in the current verision 6.8 and it seems that we can reproduce this behavior.

Can you please give us a feedback if a capping on Adserver side should work in practical also in Flash mode or if you intend to solve this issue in the nearby future.

There is an issue, it will be fixed with 6.9.

We are currently investigating a problem which goes in the same direction. It seems that the player is not sending any cookie information together with the VAST-request.

If there is a known bug, please fix it as soon as possible! This is going to cost our company a big amount of money.

I do not see any ticket about cookies/vast cap in:

Is this a bug found internally so that it is not listed here?
