Maybe Android/FF does not like mov.

Can you try with this sample?

Thanks for your reply.

My apology, but I do have only mov extension videos to play with jwplayer.

I would like to confirm what may be the reason.

[1] Is there any problem with my video encoding?
[2] Is this problem from jwplayer?
[3] Is this problem from browser?

Let me know your feedback.

Sincerely,
Vijay

Hello,

I have setup .mov video, but it's not playing in Android / firefox browser. I need your confirmation that, is this mov file problem or it's browser problem?

I have setup different primaryPlayer as Flash and HTML5.

Please check below url:

[1] http://test.methode-de-piano.fr/old-web-site/html5.html [ primaryPlayer = html5 ]

[2] http://test.methode-de-piano.fr/old-web-site/flashvideo.html [ primaryPlayer = flash ]

Please check above two urls and let me know your feedback.

Sincerely,
Vijay

@Vijay: "My apology, but I do have only mov extension videos to play with jwplayer."

Why not just convert them to MP4, and stop fighting the problem? HandBrake, default settings plus check "Web optimized."

@MisterNeutron :

Hello,

Thank for your very nice suggestion.

Actually, we are converting the video from recorder version to ffmpeg on server. It's not very good and easy solution to use (handbrake.fr) software.

It would be better, if we can resolve the problem of mov video to make it play properly in all the mobile browsers.

Not working browser for now is :

Android / Firefox

Please let me know your best suggestion.

Sincerely,
Vijay

It would be better to convert to MP4. I'm not an ffmpeg expert, but I believe that these options (in addition to whatever else you're using) will take care of it:

bc.. -vcodec libx264 -acodec libvo_aacenc -movflags faststart -f mp4

Also FF + Android has something like a 1.6% mobile market share at the moment.
