rtmp url's not working in rss

I can not work this out.
The rtmp url's work in VLC Media player but not in JW Player. Is it because you can't add rtmp to rss?

I have 2 sources, rtmp first and mp4 second - primary is flash. The mp4's work in html browser ok. When in flash the rtmp links just spin the wheel of the player.

There is something very strange with cloudfront rtmp servers.

Trying something, If I rename a file in the S3 location it still doesn't work. BUT if I take one of these files and copy it to another folder and then rename it, bring it back to previous location and change URL to new name - it works.

I am so stumped to understand why

Just tried that and did not work. File not found. Was it an rtmp CF distribution or HTTP?

It was CF. Maybe there is a setting on CF that needs to be changed here?

Cloudfront has 2 types of distributions, RTMP and HTTP. I was using RTMP, I have not had problems with HTTP.
This moment in time I have solved it by moving/renaming - just wish I knew what the problem was as I will likely find it again at some point.
