invalid license key errors / server status page?

We have a user report of videos failing to load on our site, that uses a premium license key for JwPlayer 6 - this is not widespread, and does not show up in our testing, so I'm assuming for the time-being that there was a connection hiccup to the authentication servers.

This brings up a couple of issues:
* Is there a status page anywhere that reports uptime and outages? Even very short outages would be useful to know about.
* I know the JwPlayer 6 model has moved to a subscription model, and longtail seems very set on this direction - but being at the whim of your servers for simple playback is unfortuate - it would be excellent if you could figure out a way for us to either pay to remove the remote key checking, or some sort of key checking algorithm that fails gracefully for short outages. Or even falling back to non-premium skins when the key fails.

Thanks - I know both of these are probably not small changes, but they would make us much more confident with JwPlayer as our video player.

Can I see a link to where this is running? Any outages shouldn’t matter as the videos are running on your site and the key is set on the client side.

We are actually having the same issues with multiple users trying to access our jwplayer embedded videos. Has anyone found a cause of this issue?

Unfortunately our clients have password protected logins as this is training material. We are running JWPlayer 6.1 and just renewed license about 3 months ago.

I am having the same problem in IE8 and IE9. I am able to reproduce it by upgrading to the flash player 11.8.800. I am able to see the first video correctly but when trying to see another video. I get the invalid edition error in the JW Player.

I am a collegue of Leon Berenschot. Our users are still reporting this problem even after updating JW Player to 6.6.3896.

So far all users reporting the problem use Internet Explorer 8.0. For example, one specific user has the following properties:

Flash: 11.8.800
Browser: Internet Explorer
User-Agent: compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows Vista; Trident/4.0; BTRS123368; GTB7.5; SLCC1; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; Media Center PC 5.0; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; .NET4.0C; AskTbORJ/5.12.3.17451

I hope these additional details help tracking down the problem.

Over the past day or so, we have been seeing multiple cases related to IE7/8 and an invalid license key error among our customers. The problem appears related to a recent Flash update that was released over the last few days. (11.8.800.168) I assure you, we are working diligently to resolve the problem and sincerely apologize for any disruption this may have caused. If you have any further questions, please let us know.
