issue with videos from blip.tv
From yesterday we can't see videos hosted at blip.tv
IS Somebody else have the same issue?

I'm having the same problem. see http://armonitv.info/ using firefox only. I didn't change anything on my site!

@Oliver – Your link is just using the Blip player.
@Sam – Your link does not work for me, but since Blip is a 3rd party provider that we have never officially supported or worked with, chances are, they changed something on their end here so make it so their videos only work in their player…

Blip have changed their terms so that you can only use their player. My whole site is now trashed.
An email notifiying users would have been nice.

"Hi ,
As that message explains we do not allow playback outside of the Blip player and are taking more aggressive actions towards limiting this behavior as it causes excessive bandwidth usage and many times is used by accounts to circumvent our ad network in favor of their own.

Hi! i bring good news folks! there is a work around!!!
ok ill try to explain as best as i can. using blip.TV, you usualy link using this:
http://blip.tv/file/get/Tvcbf3-HV12FOLK012_MP4_16x9_ARCHIVES_MP4_16x9743.mp4
if you right-click and go "open in new window", the adress shows:
http://a1.video4.blip.tv/2650001629299/Tvcbf3-HV12FOLK012_MP4_16x9_ARCHIVES_MP4_16x9743.mp4
This new link has a player, thus allowing blip to let it go and WILL work on your website using jw and plugins.
Dont ask me question about fancy words and things, i know jack shit about webpages, i use chrome and had multiple reports of firefox users not being able to see videos anymore. so i downloaded firefox, tweaked around and found that both links arent the same as the first wont play in firefox and the second will. Testing the links on my joomla webpage www.tvcbf.qc.ca had positive results and videos were playing using firefox / chrome / IE.
I hope it will work for you, if it dont, we found that amazon S3 was rather inexpansive considering the money we make with the adds. Sure we now make less money since we pay for storage but at least, were not gettin aweful surprise mondays morning like blip gave us this april 2rd.

Yeah i dropped the first link as it had title errors,
but yes it do works. tested on firefox googlechrome and IE.

Thanks a lot it works for video encoded by blip, not with the original video.
Have you a solution with the current path, it's a huge jobe to modify all paths of hundreds of videos

Yep, the message clearly states that Blip videos are only playable with the Blip player now. This is entirely on their end, not ours.
