Issue with Internet Download Manager

I embed JW player 5 on my site with skin. I upload skin to server and config player with this flashvars :

bc.. &skin=http://mysite.com/skin/skin_name.zip


Everything fine, but if my user install Internet Download Manager (IDM), when browser load player, IDM will auto open windows ask for download skin file because skin file is ".zip". User click yes (or no) to download this file and player run without skin.

Skin for player version 5 not same version 4, in ver 4, it a .swf file, and IDM with not auto download. So how can i fix it ??

Hi,

I have never used IDM before, but you can use swf skins with the V5 player as well. The V5 player works with zip skins as well swf skins.

I extract my skin file (Beelden : http://developer.longtailvideo.com/trac/export/HEAD/skins/beelden/beelden.zip), but i can't find any swf file, just 1 .xml file and some folder with PNG image.

How i convert to swf file.

Beelden is an ZIP/XML only file. You will have to one one which is a SWF.

http://www.longtailvideo.com/addons/skins/ – all of the V 1.0 Skins are SWFs.

That mean i can't use Beelden skin with SWF ?

Can be another way to use Beelden skin without ZIP file ?

You can link to the XML file instead of the ZIP file (you just need to make sure that all of the images/directories are on your server).
