task queue failed at step 5: playlist could not be loaded: playlist file did not contain a valid playlist

Hi,

I am using the (JW Player plugin for wordpress) on my WordPress site.

I am trying to upload .avi videos from my computer and adding them to jw player.

Now, I upload my video, and added them to the JW Player, when I tried to see the video at my site I just get a black window.

And when I set the player to (Auto play), I get this message:

(task queue failed at step 5: playlist could not be loaded: playlist file did not contain a valid playlist).

I have tried this on both (FirFox) and (IE), and still the same problem.

I uninstalled the plugin and install it again, still the same problem.

Here is the link to the video:

I really need someone to help me.

Thanks

@monica – Is this your site?

@AK – Your video is not working because it is encoded in MPEG-4, but it needs to be encoded in H.264.

Thanks Ethan,

So do you mean that when converting any video to .mp4 it has several encoding ?

S how can I control the way of encoding the video when converting it from .avi to .mp4??

The program I am using does not have any options for that.

Thanks

I am not sure what you use, but I recommend this one – http://handbrake.fr/

You need H.264, as Flash/HTML5 only works with this encoding.

Maybe your browser has GZIP Compression enabled (it should be off) or you do not have the MP4 MIME-TYPE set.

Where are you trying to embed this video with the player?

JW Player

User

Well well, my mistake it's a flv file and not a mp4 (with codecs: mp4a & h264).

But i still have an error, is it possible that error is due to the name file :
bc.. 'flashplayer': 'player.swf',
'file': 'extern/megavideo/stream.php?url=aHR0cDovL3d3dzgwMS5tZWdhdmlkZW8uY29tL2ZpbGVzLzg1ZGQ2OWZlZjBjMTQ5NGM2ZGMyYTAyMmU1YmQwZDIxLw==&type=flv',
'type': 'flv',
'controlbar': 'bottom',
'width': '470',
'height': '320',
'skin' : "skins/modieus/modieus.zip"

With a different name, it's ok :
bc.. 'flashplayer': 'player.swf',
'file': 'truc.flv',
'type': 'flv',
'controlbar': 'bottom',
'width': '470',
'height': '320',
'skin' : "skins/modieus/modieus.zip"

Make sure that you are encoding in H.265 (x264) and that Web Optimized is checked!

I have the same problem. Seems that player fails on link (filename) with parameters. For example, the file /xyz/file.mp3 is OK, but if we have some kind of encoding or protection (/index.php?act=open&file=123), the player isn't able to open it.

Or maybe it doesn't, like it's happening to me.

The link is:

And the same file stored locally is perfectly played. But through this link, it's unable to do it.

Any help would be appreciated

Solved by adding '.flv' to the url:
http://emisiones.burgos.es/spring/obtenerVideo.flv?grabacion=14

(I also replace the special characters '&', '?' and '=')

Your “file” is being loaded as – “http://healthylivingv.com/lX”

You should check that, it is not loading the .flv from S3 properly…

1) Remove – “type”:“mp4”,

2) For each playlist entry, under each “file” line, add:

“provider”:“video”,
