Desktop Player - Failed to load the Adobe Flash Player!

I've downloaded and installed the latest Desktop player. When I click on the .exe or click on a .flv file I get the same error box with SWFKit Player / Failed to load the Adobe Flash Player!

I've installed the latest 10.3.183.5 Adobe Flash player
running XP
normally use FireFox (running 6), if that has anything to do with this error
Youtube video's play fine within FireFox, so think Flash is working.

I do get a ZoneAlarm alert for suspicious behavior that LongTailVideo Toolbar is trying to change your browser search settings. Is this related? Not sure why I would want the browser to change search settings.

@Denver -

The Desktop Player is no longer being actively developed. We suggest switching to another actively developed product to play FLV files on the desktop, such as VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/)
