Block Downloading videos which are embedded

We are a development company. We referred Jwplayer for one of our client. We have used embedded player for the website. Now the Problem We identified in embedded player Url we can take the source code and able to download the video. Now we need to restrict the download option.

I had seen Secure Player Embeds option in Properties. If we enable this whether the video download option will be disabled or still able to download. Please clarify us as our site is live. We hadn’t notice this problem prior.

The JW Player dashboard and the Platform API contain a security feature that enables you to lock down public access to videos and/or players which is known as URL Token Signing. More information can be found here – https://support.jwplayer.com/customer/portal/articles/1433647

Token signing will not make it more difficult for someone to download the video, but it will make the URLs less useful if they post them on Facebook or Reddit or Twitter because the token can be set with a short expiration time and therefore it will be a dead link for others.
