macOS High Sierra - frequently switching contrast

I encountered an issue just after updating from El Capitan to High Sierra (MacBook Pro Retina 15" 2012). Now, every few seconds the contrast of a played video is changed as soon as the video has some darker scenes. Sometimes it switches every 3-5 seconds, which lowers the viewing experience very much :/ I don't think these problems occur with other players.

Does anybody else have this problem? Is there a fix or workaround?

Okay, it looks like it only occurs with the Safari Browser.
