On jwPlayer 7.12.10 i can't see any Chromecast button..
On version 8.0.0 theres a "new" casting button in bottom panel, but on tap it doesn't do anything..
BROWSER: Chrome 61.0.3163.98 (stable)
OS: Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow)
Any ideas or advice??

I looked at a JW Player 8 embed that has casting enabled and the cast icon appears in Chrome for desktop, but not in Chrome for Android.
Can you please supply a link to a reproduction page where you are seeing the cast icon in the player?

Well..
I just created a new (8.0.0) player in my home jwplayer account (16:9 for example), and there is a tipical Chromecast button in the bottom panel of the player (near Play/Seekbar controls).
But as i said, clicking it has no effect..
This happens on Chrome x Android.
If you need i can also create an example page.. but it can be easily viewed on the demo player on jwplayer.com (version 8.0.0)

Well..
I played on my Dashboard, creating players, and i noticed that Chromecast button sometimes appears on both 7.12 and 8.0 versions... But no effect clicking it.
Another strange behavior is that clicking the "settings" button (gear-like icon, in 8.0) brings up the share menu (same as "share" button).
This makes me think that there could be some problem with the "click" events on the bottom UI controls.
Still cannot open your test page.. It gives "connection timeout"..

The players on the dashboard are meant more for previewing the look of the player and should not be taken as a functional equivalent to what you would see if you embed the player on your website.

The Chromecast button is there. on bottom controls.
But no effect clicking it.... of course.
I forgot to say, that the cast button appears _only_ if you are connected to a wifi net and there are Chromecast receiver(s) around you... but this is obvious :)

Are you still talking about Chrome for Android? I do not see the Chromecast icon when I look at my test page on an Android phone but I do in Chrome for desktop.
On Desktp no icon/button.
For me that button only appears on Chrome/Android, when connected to wifi and one (or more) Chromecast (TV) receiver reachable.

Are you able to see it in Chrome for desktop on another computer? Currently, we are looking into issues with the Chromecast icon not appearing in Chrome for Android, but it should be working on desktop.
OK. SUMMARY:
This works FINE :)
Chromecast button is down there, it works perfectly, casting to my Android TV:
- Desktop 32bit
- Windows 7 Ultimate (SP1)
- Chrome 62.0.3202.75 (Official Build)
This DOESN'T WORK at all :(
Chromecast button is (still) down there, but it has NO (click) EFFECT:
- ASUS Zenfone 2
- Android 6.0.1
- Chrome 61.0.3163.98

It looks like our engineers are aware of this issue on Android and are currently working on a fix that should be released in version 8.0.2 sometime before the end of the month. You can keep an eye on our Release Notes page as we post release notes and bug fixes with every new update.
