Close Caption in JW player in Android

HI,

Close Captions in JW Player are not supported in Android devices without using tracks object in the code.

Please provide solution if the information of tracks can be embedded in the playlist. m3u8 file.

Hi,

I’m assuming these are live captions? There are no viable solutions for live captions on Android as Google Chrome does not support in-manifest VTT nor 608 captions.

If you’re referring to VOD, then the tracks block in the jwplayer().setup() is the only option.
