Players and Streaming video do not work in Google Chrome

Players and Streaming video do not work in Google Chrome (58.0.3029.96 64-bit).

In other browsers it works only in Google Chrome that does not.

The player only came back to work when I went into settings -> content settings and allow flash.

It would be nice if a permission message was displayed.

I recommend you provide that feedback to the website operator that is using our player. We do not have control over how developers implement our software.

We encountered this issue today with the latest chrome update. The error message shown on JW Player is "Error loading player: No playable sources found" which isn't helpful to the user. If there is only a flash based RTMP streaming source, is it not possible for the JW player to show a better error message as such: "Flash is required to play this source. Please enable Flash through your web browser". In chrome, my settings for Flash are: "Ask first before allowing sites to run flash (recommended)" and no prompt is shown. Is this a bug with chrome itself regarding no prompt display?

On firefox, the JW Player shows: "Flash plugin failed to load" and firefox shows a prompt to run flash. Thanks.

I will pass this on to our engineering team. In the meantime you will want to tell users to make sure to enable flash.
