Cross domain error on Chrome & Firefox with v7.8

We are trying to serve videos via Wowza streaming server with a streamlock certificate. Videos play fine with rtmps (with desktop browsers where flash is installed). The problem is with https. With https:

1. The old version v6.5 works fine
2. With the new version (v7.8) we are getting the error "Cannot load M3U8: Crossdomain access denied" on Chrome and Firefox; works fine on IE 11 though.

Any help is greatly appreciated as we do not want to move back to old version.
