Should I buy a license or go free?

Hi,
We have multiple websites which need to have a video player on each one.
Some of them stream live videos, some others serve non-live content such as MP4 files.

We need to have the following functionalities on our players:
- Adaptive bitrate streaming: We have multiple qualities of videos (both in live and non-live versions)
- Recommended videos (after video playing finishes on non-live version)
- View ads (before starting play and even while playing -just like youtube); I have to make it more clear for you:
We have two type of websites:
A. We're not gonna use any ads platform like YuMe, Tremor, SpotX, LiveRail, Adap.tv, or Google. So our ads are some videos or images which will be served from our server (self-hosted). So we don't want the player to handle anything more than viewing ads in a custom duration with a configurable SKIP button on it.
B. In this type of websites, we're gonna use an ads platform and it should be integrated with those platforms, so we'll need ads plugin with this integration.

...Thanks if you're still reading :D
According to the list of our requested features, please tell me if we have to "buy a license" or we "can use JWPlayer for free" or we "can use open source version and develop plugins ourselves"?
