Cast not working if source is from a playlist


Tried the latest version (7.9.1). Casting a video doesn't work if it's from a playlist. It just loads for a second and returns to the Chromecast home page, and the video will resume playing on the PC/Phone.

I tried using the same video, but instead of putting it on a playlist, I didn't a playlist, and it worked.

I tried using the same video, but instead of putting it on a playlist, I directly put it on the "file" configuration (without a playlist), and it worked.

It seems to be working for me when the file is embedded in the “playlist” block. Can you provide a URL to a reproduction page that you are seeing it not work on so I may take a look?

When using the first link, whenever I try to cast, the loading screen just blinks on the TV screen then returns back to the home screen. It works when I used the single file, no playlist link.

When I try the first link, I am getting a 403 Forbidden error. Is the stream restricted to only certain locations?

Sorry, most source was region locked. I changed it to play a non-region locked file first.

I re-arranged the playlist so that the videos that aren't region locked were placed first.

Strangely, the ones that doesn't have the region lock won't play on Chromecast even if isn't on a playlist. (I use 2 sources, one from a wowza server, and one from akamai). The akamai sources are region locked to PH. Those ones play with CC fine, but it won't play if it's on a playlist (Maybe the wowza streams are causing this?)

Okay, I messed up. Apparently, rearranging the playlist fixes the problem. Weird.
