No safari playback, only firefox & chrome, on a mac

I have a movie that works on Firefox 50.1.0 & Chrome Version 55.0.2883.95 on a mac with macOS 10.12.2 & Safari Version 10.0.2, but doesn't work in Safari. The current version of flash is installed Shockwave Flash 24.0 r0 too.
The error I get is "Error loading player: No playable sources found" I de-selected "Stop plug in to save power." Any thoughts?

Hi there,

Thanks for contacting JW Support. I’m Donni, one of the Support Engineers at JW Player.

Safari automatically blocks flash content in Safari 10+. In your Safari instances go to PREFERENCES > SECURITY > PLUG IN settings and make sure flash in enabled and let me know if you’re still having issues.

Donni; Great thanks that was the issue, it works now. I have a follow up question, what happens if flash player is not installed and the end user doesn't want it. Will the playback go to html5? TIA
Cheers
