Using Embed code as third-party creative in Google DFP?

I'm using the JW Player embed code (for one of my uploaded videos) as 'third-party creative' in Google DFP. It works great. I've even customized a player and everything looks as I want on my website.

However, when I try to wrap the embed code with the click-through URL using tags, it creates all kinds of craziness. Basically, any interaction with the video controls activates the click-through and I end up with multiple tabs open and audio playing. I can see why that would happen, as I have simply wrapped the entire player in the tags.

So my question is… How can I get the video into a regular Google DFP ad slot? Not pre-roll, or post-roll or anything else, just a regular in-banner display ad, and have the controls work independently of the click-through?

Is this possible with the Free account, or do I have to upgrade?

Hello,

Thank you for contacting the JW Player Support team. My name is Randy, I am the Primary Support Engineer at JW Player. The clickthrough feature is often setup in the XML of the ad tag and takes place there along with all other parameters such as beacons etc.

Example:
ClickThrough id="GDFP">

</ClickThrough>

It is not common practice to use an anchor to achieve this. If you have a basic banner ad as well this is typically the case. Same as above essentially.
