HD toggle / multiple sources using external url videos

Hi,

I use the JW 7 Platform and add all my videos as external urls, rather than uploading them to the platform. I'm wondering if I can add multiple video sources this way for the same video so that I can have the HD toggle on the player I embed on my site? Or is it the case that with external url video links you only get one source?

Are you using the “Publish Mode” or “embed” buttons on the dashboard to embed your content? If so, yes – you would only be able to have one source. Alternatively, you can use JavaScript to embed your content using your externally-hosted URLs and have multiple sources in order to supply the player with multiple quality versions of the same video. You can find an example on how to do this on our HD Quality Toggling support article.
