Closed Captions

Hello,
I’m trying to add captions by selecting the “upload captions track” in tracks tab of my video but I can’t select any file, such as .srt , .vtt , .scc , etc. from my computer.
What should I set in order to select a captions file when I click on “add” button in tracks tab ?
I have seen the articles for closed captions but didn't help me.
( I'm using the Free version for the moment )
Also, I'd like the player skin as is in the WordPress plugin skin. How can I get this skin ?
** I'm not a web developer.
Thanks !

Hello,

You need to ensure that this content is accessible to the player dashboard. You should have not problem uploading this content witin the dashboard: https://support.jwplayer.com/customer/portal/articles/1407438-adding-closed-captions. You can specify skins dynamically in your Player Builder or simply by using CSS. The later portion might require some coding ability but please take a look in the dashboard and you can set this via the user interface.

I go on my dashboard -> my video -> TRACKS tab -> upload captions track.
Then I cannot select anything from my computer such as .vtt or .srt
What am I missing here ?

Hello,

Are you potentially using a browser that might not be supported? Does this work on say Chrome or Safari?

The issue with Unknown CC appears only in Safari browser.
* In Safari also I can't see any HD button.

Hello,

I believe you are not seeing an HD button simply because in HTML5 mode, the stream content will be handled by the browser thus eliminating some functionality within the player (i.e. HD configs). You are correct that the Unknown CC issues is an Apple based issue which I believe they are working to fix.
