Delete API-Permission Denied

Hi,
Can we delete default existing templates or only created templates can be deleted?

I was trying to delete default 320x180 template using python API and I am getting output: u'Not allowed to delete required template'

or I can reset/update it as "Non-default" using update API call; will this be equivalent to delete i.e. recover space used by 320x180 encoding file??

Thanks

Indeed, you can use /accounts/templates/update to make sure that specific template isn’t applied to new uploads. However, you’ll want to go back and delete the 320px conversions created for prior uploads.

Thanks for quick and precise reply.

Just one more question regarding update template: "the video quality and audio quality parameters should be same, say "7" and "7 " or we can select say video "6" and audio "7" ; if yes then will it create complications in the current "smooth playback" ?

They don’t have to be the same quality level.

UPDATE:

API Output : "Parameter cannot be updated in a required template"

Thanks for correcting me. It appears you can’t edit the default template either. In this case, you’ll need to either delete specific conversions or purchase a Premium Subscription or above to increase your hosting. Read the license scope section of our terms of service for more details on storage capacity per license.

Welcome, certainly in future we will be providing video webdesign and development services as a main part of our business and will certainly shift to premium or platinum jw-platform account.

Current project is just for demo/learning purpose; still jw-platform would have lured us to shift to paid account if 6-channel audio encoding was provided in 1080p and 720p template conversions instead of very common stereo.

Thanks.
