MPEG DASH captions working?

Using Wowza as a streaming server, we have a number of titles that have closed captions - some with 3GPP tracks and some SRT files. The captions are working great in JWPlayer for Flash (RTSP) and Adobe HLS streams, but do not work when using MPEG DASH streams. It appears that the player is identifying that the video has captions, as the "CC" indictor is shown, but the captions do not appear on the screen.

Is there something special that needs to be done in the config for the player for captions in JWPlayer and MPEG DASH?

Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support team. Can you please provide a sample link to the embed or stream itself?

Randy, thanks so much for your response. Due to copyright restrictions I cannot make a sample or the stream available in the public forum. Can I send a URL outside the community forum?

I've put up a test stream that does not have copyright content. This has a SRT caption file in the same Wowza content folder with the video. Captions display in Flash and HLS, but not MPEG DASH.

Hello,

For some reason I am having some difficulty accessing the secondary link/DASH embed. Please reference the following ticket number: 88198 and if you can provide the actual link with the issue I can deep-dive on this for you a bit further.

Cheers,

Randy

Never mind - I had not seen this before:

Upcoming features with JW Player 7 DASH:

Captions - JW Player 7.0 supports captions with sideloaded VTT files for VOD sources. Embedding captions into a VOD/Live manifest itself will be supported in a future release.
Multiple Audio tracks - Currently, different audio tracks can not be manually selected. This feature will be coming in a future release.

from: https://support.jwplayer.com/customer/portal/articles/2020482-about-dash-streaming

looks like only VTT captions are supported.
