Forced timeout Failover

Is there a forced timeout failover in the waterfall setup of the player if the ads is not filling? So if an ad doesn’t show after a few seconds the call goes to the next network.

I believe the network request will timeout after ten seconds, but I will verify with our engineers and get back to you.

Alright thank you sir.

When the ads is not filling it occurs an error wichic is "VM48286:1 Error: Ad adLoadError error: No ads were found in the ad response. At least one ad is required to be able to load or play. errorCode: 1001"
and the screen will hang for a few seconds and it keeps on logging that error for a few seconds also. Is there any other way to catch this error or cancel the process then switch to the next ad when it occurs instead of waiting for it?

That error means that your ad network is not filling the ad tag request with an ad. Do you have an ad tag waterfall configured? Maybe we are trying other ad tags. Can you post your advertising: {} block code here?

I would expect the video to start playing immediately after we get an ad error and there are no more ad tags for us to try.

Could you please look at this test page: www.phasemargin.com/jwplayer-sample-2.html

Thank you

The only problem I see on your test page is that your ad network is not giving you an ad.

Our player is loading the initial ad tag, the redirect, and then the .swf. That thick spinner icon is not from our player, it is from the .swf. Ask your ad network for a sample ad tag that returns a test ad 100% of the time. Once you verify that this ad tag is working correctly, then ask them why they are not filling any ads for you on your test page.

They gave us a test ad tag and it's filling 100% of the time but their live ads aren't 100% filling. I'm now sure that the problem is on their ad tags. Thank you so much for your help.
