Keyboard control for closed captioning

This was asked a year ago, answered with "we'll look into it" and closed.

Is there a keyboard control for turning on closed captioning? While it seems like using a movement-impaired mechanism (keyboard control) to enable a feature for hearing-impaired (closed captions) users is a stretch, technically is is needed for WCAG Level AA compliance, and so becomes a check-off item for an accessibility review (US government, certain large private organizations)

Is this supported yet? If not, (and if there are any jwplayer people monitoring this) is it on the roadmap for a future release? If on the roadmap, what can I tell my reviewers? If not on the roadmap, is there some technical or product management blocker that you can share?

Our plan is to include this when 7.5 is released, which is currently scheduled for June. The 7.5 release will also include other accessibility enhancements like 708 caption positioning.
