is the free version can be used on commercial site ?

As it is really not clear,

in the readme when you download the player 6, it is written that it is not for commercial use :

JW Player Free
Under the terms of our Creative Commons license, you can use, modify and redistribute the player for non-commercial purposes only. Commercial sites must purchase a license for the Pro, Premium or Ads editions. See the JW Player 6 License for further details.

in this post. it is said that the free version7 can be used for commercial use.

And again here you have to pay :

So at the date of today, can we use the jwplayer 7 free version on commercial site ?

Hello,

Thank you for your response, I have read these TOS and did not found that JW7 Free can be used on commercial sites, could you please copy the related chapter. I'm sure it will help other users.

The old version specifically said that JW6 Free was only for non-commercial use. I am not a lawyer, but you should be OK since the new version does not have the same clause for JW7.

I will check with our executives regarding the specific language in our terms of service and get back to you.

Hi,

I just verified with our CEO that yes, you can use JW7 Free on a commercial site. You will need to upgrade to our Ads license, however, if you want to include advertisements in the videos.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions,
Todd
