What kind of license do you have? A JW7 Ads license is required to unlock the advertising capabilities of our player.

The license key you provided is for a JW7 Free account. You would need to upgrade to Ads before your playAd() code will work.

You can test your ad tags directly in our player in our Ads Tester at http://demo.jwplayer.com/ad-tester/

Your representative on the Sales team can also potentially set you up with a trial key.
