I am having some issues with Jwplayer 7.2.3 and it is best described that the video looks like the "streching" is set to "none" even though the configuration property is set to "uniform" in HTML5 mode. There is no issue with the Flash-version og the player that is display on desktop.
Another issue is with the audio playback, the image (poster) dissapears when playing live audio streams.

I would first update to the current version namely, v7.3.6.
That said, have you tried stretching: 'fill'. I would like to see a link to be better able to provide an answer to you.
