spare stream on Akamaï

Dear support,
We are using Akamaï, and when we provide a spare (backup) stream, as they advise, jwplayer access both main and spare stream, so every stream is double.
I've seen this problem mention here : https://community.akamai.com/thread/1909#4581
Are you aware of the problem ? Maybe you have already developed a workaround and we did not find it ?

Just to make sure I am understanding you correctly, you are saying our player is receiving both streams at the same time? Can you please provide a link to a reproduction page so I may take a look at your issue?
