Chrome only: Error loading media when jumping in the time ...

Hello ...
You can reproduce this problem by using the following link in Chrome:

https://stream.fri-tic.ch/play.php?v=FT_test_MichaelJacksonBillboard2014.mp4&t=sz&w=640&h=360&p=https://stream.fri-tic.ch/test/mjj.png&ti=Michael%20Jackson%20au%20BillBoard%202014

The video starts normally, but if you click several times in the time bar to move through the time a problem occur: "Error loading media: File could not be played"

But if you open the file link directly in the chrome html5 video without jwplayer move in time bar without error:

https://rrr.sz.xlcdn.com/?account=Centre_fri-tic&file=FT_test_MichaelJacksonBillboard2014.mp4&type=download&service=apache&output=mp4&protocol=https

This problem does not exist if you use Firefox, Safari or IE ...

Can you help me ?

Hello,

Thank you for contacting the JW Player support team. My name is Randy and I downloaded your video and ran it through Handbrake.fr with Web Optimized turned on and it seemed to have fixed the issue for me. Can you potentially try that on your end to see if that resolves the playback issue for you?

Hello Randy, Thanks for your answer.
This like is with the optimized mp4 version:

https://stream.fri-tic.ch/play.php?v=FT_test_MichaelJacksonBillboard2014_weboptimized.mp4&t=sz&w=640&h=360&p=https://stream.fri-tic.ch/test/mjj.png&ti=Michael%20Jackson%20au%20BillBoard%202014

Unfortunatly, If I click (jump) the time bar 2-3 times the same error occured (In Chrome Mac version 49) with the direct video link :
https://rrr.sz.xlcdn.com/?account=Centre_fri-tic&file=FT_test_MichaelJacksonBillboard2014_weboptimized.mp4&type=download&service=apache&output=mp4&protocol=https

No problem ...
Have you another idea ?
Kind regards

Randy

Hello Philippe,

This may potentially be a CDN issue then if you’ve encoded the stream again in handbrake and still see the issue. If you try uploading the content into your JW Player dashboard do you still see the error when played?
