Playlist, Auto-start and Shuffle

Hello:

I would like to use JWPlayer as an audio player with an auto start and shuffle playlist and I don't know where to start. I tried installing the latest version I downloaded, but when I try to play a simple 'playlist.xml' that I used and made years ago for an older version JWPlayer, I get the following: Error loading playlist: Not a valid RSS feed. Would you please direct me where to start, preferably with examples?

Thanks,

Kenny

Hi, Kenny.

My name is Alex and I am one of the Support Engineers at JW Player. I will be more than happy to assist you with your questions.

We have detailed information on how to use external playlists with our player, including information on what is required in your playlist, on our External Playlists and Feeds support article.

If you are still having issues after viewing that article, please provide a link to your XML document and I will be more than happy to take a look.

Thank you.

Hello Alex:

Thank you for your reply. After reading what is written at the link you posted, I still couldn't get a step ahead. Now I tried a copy of JWPlayer version 6 and still the playlist.xml is not being recognized as valid. I'm afraid an example from which I can copy and paste is what may help my situation. Here's the link to where I'd like the player to work, with a playlist, shuffle and autostart: http://www.reneesrosegarden.com/index-test-jw.php
