Poor Video Quality and long waits to launch in Citrix Environment


Is there a way to customize the quality of video playback? We're finding that when launching/streaming video with end-users on Citrix, there is a very long delay for the video to play, and then when it does play the quality is dismal. The audio is decreased to a point where users can't hear it, and the screens are illegible (its a technology demonstration video, so seeing what is on the screen is very important). Any help or advice is much appreciated!! Thank you!

An end-user on Citrix is basically watching a streaming video of the output of a virtual computer. I would not be surprised to see that type of performance on any type of video, web based or saved directly to the computer. Are you hosting the video with us? You could find the lowest quality transcode available for that video in the SOURCES tab of your CONTENT. Then you would have to manually embed the player pointing to that video on your page.

Alternatively, this could be an issue with your Citrix implementation, in which case I’d advise you to reach out to your service provider.
