Stream trouble shooting.

I have a stream coming in to my jwplayer and I embedded it to my website, it plays on some devices but not all. I can't seem to figure out a pattern of the non-working ones. Windows machines and mobile devices mostly, Mac's seem to all be fine, but I am getting confused and frustrated because some mobile devices work and some don't and same for the PC's. Even some that are on the same network as the host don't work when others do and then windows machines on outside networks some do and some don't. Chrome, IE, Firefox, Safari, doesn't matter what I use it either works on that machine in any browser or it doesn't work at all.

I tried changing it to rtmp, took off the playlist.m3u8, everything. Cant figure out why. Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your HLS stream is playing fine for me in our Stream tester. If you supply me with a link to a page where you have the player setup, I will be more than happy to check it out and see if I notice anything, in addition to test it across the different browsers.

Thanks thats good to know that you can see it. I was starting to think it was the machines themselves but browsers and everything are up to date so still unclear to me.

I’m not sure what the issue is because I just tested your page in the following browsers and the stream played as expected on each:

Windows 10

  • Microsoft Edge
  • IE 11
  • Firefox
  • Chrome

Windows 7

  • IE 9, 10 and 11
  • Firefox
  • Chrome

Do you know if these users have Flash Player installed on their computers?
