error setting up player: invalid license key


I was attempting to watch a video conference and could not watch it because I got the error message "error setting up player: invalid license key". They use JWPlayer 7.2. I tried chrome, internet explorer, firefox and chrome canary with no change. I have also tried some of the suggestions that people have made, including clearing cache/cookies, unchecking plugins and extensions and verifying that there is no adblock. Is there anything else I need to do? It's still not working.

What version of the operating system are you running? Do you have the latest version of flash? Do you have a link you can send us?

It's got nothing to do with your OS or the version of Flash being used - it's down to JWs poorly thought out licence key cycling strategy.

As an end-user confronted with this scenario, the simplest thing you can do is to set your computer date/time to a date in the past, restart the browser, and try again.

As a site owner, you should *avoid using* the cloud-hosted library file generated as part of the dashboard - use the generic cloud-hosted library and add your standalone licence key manually instead.

Verifying the date and time may also help, changing back in time may not help. We have seen the wrong date and time cause this time of issue before, is it still happening?
