Exactfit does not work when going fullscreen in flash mode

I have discovered an issue with flash mode and exactfit.

If the viewer switches the player to fullscreen then the exactfit parameter is ignored and it displays the content in it's original aspect ratio.

The HTML5 player displays as intended.

Here is an example of it in action:
http://meghananderic.com/jwplayer/exactfit.html

The source video is 4:3, it is told to stretch to 16:9, when going fullscreen on a 16:9 monitor it returns to its 4:3 aspect if using the flash player.

Hi, there.

This is a known issue that our Engineering team is aware of and are working to resolve. However, there is no timeframe on a resolution as of yet. You can keep an eye on our JW 7 Release Notes page as we post release notes and bug fixes with every new update.

If you don’t mind me asking, however – since you’re playing an MP4 file, is there any reason why you can’t play it in HTML5 mode?

Please let me know if you need any more help or have any other questions.

Thank you!

The MP4 was just for testing. I will normally be using RTMP live streams.

I have exactly same issue.

Videos with 16:9 aspect ratio are showing up as 4:3 at full screen when stretching: "exactfit" is used.

With HTML5 player it's no problem. But we can't play FLV files in HTML5.

We are using:
height: "100%",
width: "100%",
primary:"flash",
ratio: "100%",
stretching: "exactfit",
responsive: true,

Hi!

This is still a very important issue to be addressed. Can you please make it of higher priority. Cant really build a proper service with RTMP feeds while cant control full screen aspect ratio.

I will forward this to our Engineers to see if they can prioritize this issue. In the meantime, I would suggest taking a look into HLS and/or MPEG-DASH streaming.

Hi Alex,

I agree with Alexey. I have really a big issue with that misbehavior - my company lost a customer due this situation. I probably will have to look for options - pressure is high here.

Appreciate your help.

Best.

I have just received word from our Engineering team that this issue is tentatively scheduled to be resolved in the next major release of our player, 7.5. Currently, we are expecting pre-release versions of 7.5 to be available for testing sometime this month.

Thank you.
