Is your player in Flash mode? Is Chrome throttling your video? Can you send us a link to a reproduction test page?

Please see http://support.jwplayer.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2186238-troubleshooting-creating-a-reproduction-page for more details on creating a reproduction page for us.

Hello Alex,

I’ve tested this in both mobile and desktop and I simply clicked the player once and playback initiated. Are you experiencing this in a specific browser?

@alex.schumacher

This is another bug introduced since JW 7.2.0 following the "speed to load/preload" initiative.

The not-so-obvious workaround for HTML5 rendering is to use fully qualified media URLs (not relative).
