How do I define the URL shown when a user clicks the share icon?

Hi all,

We're thinking about using JW Player on our ecommerce website on our product pages to show product videos. I have a question about how we define which URL is shown when the user clicks the sharing icon.

We want the share URL to be the URL of the product page on our site - NOT a direct link to the video on the JW Player page (e.g. it is now http://content.jwplatform.com/previews/[etc]... ...

So the question is how do we set the share URL on our videos to be our product page URL and NOT the content.jwplatform.com URL?

Thanks for your interest in JW Player. The good news is that what you are looking to do is definitely possible, but it different depending on what product you end up going with:

With JW Player – you can use the sharing option block to enable sharing on your video and have it link to whatever page you want.

With JW Platform, our high-volume streaming and hosting product – when a video is shared, it would bring you back to the page that the video is on. In your example, it would be your product page. You can change this to some other link within your Platform Dashboard.
