Network Error: http status 404 on HD HLS videos in JW6 premium

We are using JW6 premium embedded player to stream HLS adaptive bitrate streams on our website. For some reason certain videos with 720p streams throw a 404 error when playback is through the Flash version of the player rather than HTML5. For example, on IE11 and Chrome this error will occur, but on browsers where Flash is not supported like Safari and Edge, the videos play fine. This repro's 100% of the time.

1. are there any known issues that JW is already aware of with HD HLS video and Flash.
2. is there a way to force the player into HTML5 rendering mode on all browsers?

Thanks.

Considering that you said the stream is HLS then it is counter productive to force HTML5 because HLS won't play in HTML5 on desktop computers.
The 404 error on HLS usually means that the crossdomain.xml file is not setup correctly, or you are swapping between https>http URLS in the conventions somewhere..
