It seems that .on('adTime') take a while to be fired with IMA vast tag

Hello,

we are using JWplayer 7.0.1 and we just spotted that with VAST and VPAID tags from other provider the adTime event is fired as soon as the ad starts, but for some reason with a tag like this one:

https://ima3vpaid.appspot.com/?adTagUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fgoogleads.g.doubleclick.net%2Fpagead%2Fads%3Fclient%3Dca-games-pub-XXXX%26slotname%3DXXXX%26ad_type%3Dvideo%26description_url%3DXXXX%26max_ad_duration%3D30000%26videoad_start_delay%3D0",

the event is only fired after few seconds, we are sure that this was not happening with the version 6 of the player.

We tried the same tag in the ad tester :

http://demo.jwplayer.com/ad-tester/

And the same happen, point 2 (no ad progress yet) only changed few seconds after the ad started.

Hope this can be fixed. Anyone had experienced this?

Cheers,

Sorry It seems that is happening with another provider of VAST2 type of tag.

Hope this can help on trying to find where the issue is coming from.

Indeed, this may be related to the VPAID ad itself. If this is happening in other testers/players, it’s likely that the container is not firing off its events in a timely manner.

Regardless, thanks for bringing this to our attention!

Andrew no problem at all, just wanted to see if it was something we were doing wrong, or in fact a tiny bug :)

Hope this can be fixed in the next release.

Good luck.
