JS embed code no longer works on Word Press Site

I run a livestreaming television network (www.acretv.org) on a site we built off of a WordPress Template (Lensa, by Color Labs), a Wowza Streaming Server, and JW Player. Since the update to JWPlayer 7, the java script embed code produced by the JW Dashboard no longer works on our site. It shows a player with a black screen when we try it. Before the update, we were able to use the JS embed code produced by the JW dashboard.

We've tried using the IFrame embed code, and while that works cross platform on desktops, it crashes browsers on both android and iPhone mobile devices after about 30 seconds of streaming.

Currently we have the site back to using the JW Player 6.0 WordPress Plugin, which works on Chrome, and Firefox but not Safari or Internet Explorer.

We are producing a multi-bitrate stream whose direct URL is found here: http://54.152.189.82/live/smil:AcreTVABR.smil/playlist.m3u8

At this point I would very much like to downgrade back to JW Player 6. Does anyone have any solutions?

I'd say you should continue using JW Player 6 until theyve released a few updates for 7. I tried your URL, http://54.152.189.82/live/smil:AcreTVABR.smil/playlist.m3u8 in IE, Chrome, and Firefox in JW 7 and it worked fine. Haven't tried Safari yet.

There are a few things you should be aware of when upgrading to JW 7. The first thing I would do is make sure you're using the new JW 7 key, because they have provided separate keys for JW 6 and JW 7, and the player will no longer run without providing a key. Getting a black screen on your player setup could be any number of things. Do you know how to look in the console for errors?

Here is a URL to try and help you out.

Hi, Nick.

Erik is correct about an incorrect key potentially causing this issue. Do you have a link to the player on your site so I can take a look?

Thanks!
