jwplayer 7 doesn't support iPhone 4

Hey,

is there a way to activate iPhone 4 support?
We updated to jwplayer 7 and are not able to view videos on iPhone 4.

On iPhone 4 it is displaying only a black screen without a play button.

I am checking with our engineers to see if they have tested JW 7 on an iPhone 4 at all. What version of iOS do you have on that iPhone 4?

Thanks James, but looks like it does not work for IOS6.

Todd, our problem its with iOS 6.0.1 and iphone 4.

My plugin fix was targeting iOS7 specifically...

I've since updated this to cater for iOS6 and i've had confirmation that this works (i don't have iOS6 on iPhone 4 available to test on).

Our document at http://support.jwplayer.com/customer/portal/articles/1403653-browser-device-reference has been updated to indicate that we currently support iOS 8 and up. Our engineers are looking into a fix to enable support in iOS 7. They expect to have a fix in the coming weeks.

As having the same environment (jwplayer 7, iphone 4, ios 7.1.2) and issue (only showing a black box without play button),- are there any news on this topic currently?

I am just finishing a custom project which requires iphone4/ios7.x.x support*. Would be a shame having to replace the player because of this issue.

I'm still having this issue as well. JWplayer 7 does not play on iphone 4.

Hi, I have the same problem. It work well with my Iphone 4 7.1.2 if I use JWPlayer 6.12, but if I use JWPlayer 7.1.4, it doesn't play anything, it show black box with play button in the middle that I cannont click on it. JWPlayer 6.12 worked well also on my Ipad 1 with IOS 5.1.1,but it doesn't work anymore with 7.1.4.
