Ugly black borders on iPhone 5s

Hi,

after updating the plugin there are black borders above and below the player. How can I fix this?

You'll have to give us a link to your site. There should not be "ugly black borders" unless you're specifying the player size incorrectly.

Hello,

The issue has to do with a min-width being set on the player in mobile view. I’ve sent more information to you via email.

Tough to sort out, but I'm seeing a min-height of 340px on the player, being applied inline (by jQuery, perhaps?). If I remove it (developer tools in the browser), the black bar at the top vanishes, and the video is properly sized and displayed.

Hi,

thanks, MisterNeutron and Carolyn! I am not a developer and therefore: Is this min-height 340px part of a JW player CSS setting that I can influence/delete somewhere? Or is this inserted by the WordPress theme?

I believe the min-height is being inserted by something external to JW Player. It's difficult to tell because you're forcing the responsive player into Flash mode, which is something I would never do. But when I set up a simple test case of a responsive player and set Flash as the primary, I'm not seeing a min-height attribute anywhere.

Would you recommend HMTL5 as default rendering mode? I did not change it because Flash seemed to be default set by JW.

BTW: When changed to HTML5 the problem remained ... :-(

The developer wrote that he inspected the code and said the CSS is added to the object element that is in the video embeded code. In other words: This height tag is added by JW player. Is this possible?
