wordpress can't get 2.4:1 aspect ratio w/responsive working

hi - I'm trying to use jwplayer html5 2.4:1 aspect ratio/responsive to work, in WP but it's not showing properly; my videos still hsow in 16:9 have huge black bars on top/bottom. I can't stretch, videos need to show in proper aspect ratio...any ideas? thx...

in case it's due to a theme-specific css override, in there any custom css class I can reference via !important tag to override theme css, to force 2.4:1 jwplayer aspect ratio?

in text block shortcode I tried adding [jwplayer player="10" mediaid="2102" aspectratio:"2.4:1" aspectratio="2.4:1"] but still not showing properly. thx...!

Indeed, we do see certain CSS styles that can resize the player, however do you have a link to where you’re setting this up?
